In a recent Sculpt Spa Las Vegas blog article, we wrote about 8 great diets to support you on your CoolSculpting Elite body contouring journey. In that piece, we pointed out that CoolSculpting Elite in Las Vegas, while being the most effective and popular non-invasive fat reduction method, is not a weight-loss program.

5 Diets to Avoid with CoolSculpting Elite
Not every diet is a good match for CoolSculpting.

CoolSculpting Elite: A Crash Course

CoolSculpting Elite is the newest addition to the Allergan family of noninvasive fat reduction devices. It uses the almost miraculous powers of cryolipolysis, the science of freezing fat cells and killing them, to target and remove unwanted fatty tissue, helping clients, like exceptional Las Vegas entertainers, keep their ideal body contour without much hassle.

CoolSculpting Elite has opened up a new era of body contouring and fat removal, with better fat reduction than regular CoolSculpting. Like the original, Cool Sculpting Elite’s results are permanent. Unlike invasive liposuction, Cool Sculpting Elite requires little to no downtime!

Industry leaders have been quick to praise CoolSculpting Elite’s benefits. Studies are showing the redesigned Elite system with advanced engineering takes CoolSculpting to the next level. Research is showing great results and better client experiences, both during and after the treatments.

What Diets to Avoid if You’re Getting CoolSculpting Elite

As mentioned, we have given some tips on finding a good diet in our previous blog article. As you research which diets are best for you, we would be remiss if we did not make you aware of eight popular diets that according to US News, you should avoid. Here they are:

1.     The Dukan Diet
This diet is based on the idea that protein intake is the key to weight loss. It directs you to cut carbohydrates and increase your protein intake. It is likely to produce short term results with its list of 100 foods you can eat, but because it forbids different food groups it can cause an unhealthy nutritional deficiency.  It is likely to give you bad breath, dry mouth, fatigue, nausea, and insomnia. It has been linked to kidney and liver disease.

2.     The Whole30 Diet
This diet revolves around a 30-day commitment to eliminate added sugar, alcohol, grains, legumes, dairy, sulfites and baked goods. After the 30-days, you are permitted to re-introduce foods from the eliminated list that cause you the least amount of weight return. The diet is not considered unsafe, just very restrictive and difficult to make work. It is a commitment that many people cannot live up to. It is almost impossible to sustain and can negatively affect your sugar levels and increase inflammation in your gut.

3.     The GAPS Diet
GAPS stands for Gut and Psychology Syndrome Diet. It attempts to establish a link between your digestive system and your brain. It intends to improve your gut heath, but there is no reliable research to show that it accomplishes this. It is a strict elimination diet where you eliminate grains, dairy, legumes and starchy vegetables for a long period of time. Unfortunately, this depletes you of numerous vital nutrients and leaves you in a state of malnutrition.

4.     The Fertility Diet
The goal of this diet is to promote reproductive health for people seeking to get pregnant. The diet is not unhealthy, nor is it difficult to follow. It is based on consumption of healthy fats, whole grains and plant protein, while limiting refined carbs and red meats. The problem with this diet is in its intent.  There is nothing that has been proven that it helps with fertility. It also advocates to consume full fat milk products which come with their own health impairment ramifications.

5.     The Acid Alkaline Diet
This diet is based on the concept that a healthy diet is based on a balance of pH levels. It mandates that you eat foods that are within the 7 to 14 range on a pH scale. If you eat foods that are acid-forming, this diet theorizes, your body will be too focused on removing acid to produce good health. Unfortunately, the diet’s main claims are not backed up by scientific evidence. Health professionals will also tell you that consuming some acids are essential for human health.

You can support your CoolSculpting Elite results with a good exercise plan, and healthy eating habits. There are some great wellness diets to choose from so no need to pick from any on this list!
